John West
Chairman

John has been a Terras supporter since 1967 and was a regular at the Old Rec. He missed the first few seasons at the Wessex but has been a regular attender again for the last 15 years or so. His favourite ever match was the FA Cup 2nd replay against Peterborough in 1974, though sadly the match eventually ended in a 3-3 draw and the Terras lost the third replay. John's favourite ever Terras player is David Laws.

John works for Dorset County Council as a Programme Manager (not the football variety). His "other" teams are Plymouth Argyle and Tottenham.

He attended the initial Trust meeting at Budmouth School and has been involved ever since. He has been the Chair of the Trust Board since June 2009

Steve Walkinshaw
Treasurer

Steve first started following Weymouth in the late 1970’s at the Rec but due to work and later family commitments could not attend games as often as he would have liked. However, during the 2003/4 season he started bringing his children with him and shortly after, his wife as well. Supporting Weymouth FC is now very much part of the family routine and over the last few years Steve and his wife Jo have regularly followed them around the country. In 2007 at that first Trust meeting at Budmouth,

Steve volunteered his services and joined the original steering committee and is now a co-opted member of the Trust Board in the role of treasurer and in this role also presided over the accumulation and subsequent distribution of the ‘Save our Club’ donations.. Owning and running his own business in the construction industry Steve is often to be found at the Wessex on non match days freely carrying out repairs, maintenance and redecorations.

Tony Baylis
Membership Secretary

Tony Baylis is employed as a Senior Auditor for a partnership which covers several Local Authorities in Dorset and Somerset. He moved down to Weymouth from Bedfordshire in November 1977 with his family. His new school mates immediately got him interested in the Terras and Tony has been hooked since then. He got involved in selling programmes and raffle tickets and eventually joined the Supporters Club Committee for a while. In the early 1980’s he rarely missed a match home or away and clocked up thousands of miles travelling all over the country to outposts such as Scarborough and Barrow and obscure places like Ton Pentre.

Highlights for Tony have been the FA Cup matches at Cardiff and Nottingham Forest, the Bob Lord Trophy Final versus the then mighty Enfield and championship winning matches at Baldock and Bishops Stortford. Tony attended the initial Trust meeting at Budmouth School and has been involved ever since. He has been the Membership Secretary since January 2008 and hia duties include processing new membership applications, maintaining the membership database and chasing up renewals. Tony made his debut in goal at Weymouth in the 2008/9 season (as the mascot - Ivan the Terrabull - in a half-time penalty shoot out).

Colin Huckle
Trust Secretary

Colin has been a Terras supporter since moving to Weymouth in 2005. Colin has been used to public office having served as a Councillor for 18 years and as a Non Executive Director in The Health Service for 6years. Having retired from a Senior Administrative role in the management of a major Public Open space, Colin volunteered his services earlier this year. He was very concerned about the parlous financial situation of the Football Club and the possibility that it might fold. He sees the Trust as a body that represents the views of the supporters and he wants to see a secure future for the Terras.

Colin has been a life long follower of football, having attended his first match at West Ham in 1952 and he has been a regular watcher of the Hammers ever since.

Colin attended the initial Trust meeting at Budmouth School and has been a Trust Member since its inception. He was co-opted onto the Board in February 2009. His role as Secretary is to ensure that the Trust Board acts within its constitution and in the best interests of Trust Members and the Supporters of Weymouth Football Club.
